We are playing. A game of sense and nonsense.
We are what is. We are.
"Smells like teen spirit", she says and laughs, "we
are the youngest".
Did you ever feel like that the things made sense?
I didn´t.
Or maybe it is the apathy of being young.
And still in the end I need to stop hanging
around.
I guess.
Now we are learning again. Embracing the
nonsense. Because we desperately need it.
Things that wouldn´t make sense started to make
more sense. Somtimes small flashes. In the not-
nowing, tracs occur.
I was dwelling. I was surprised. I was, turning
towards I don´t know. That I don´t have a glue.
That I can not explain to you. This is what we do.
Do we have so much to say?
There is all kind of things. There is all kind of
meanings. If I don´t show you now. We already run far.
So let´s expose all kind of things. All the moments
when we know and we don´t but we do. All we were, all we are. All the nonsense and sense.
Sense.
Sights, we see inside.
This performance is part of the ongoing research project “SIGHT” by the Finnish dancer and theatre artist Tuija Lappalainen, developed with Aura Antikainen, Velia Hahnemann, Aurora Magrì and Paula Moré during a year of Artistic residency in a frame of PReS at SOZO Visions in Motion.
It explores the poetics between sense and nonsense.
The basis of the work is a choreographic method being developed during the research. The performer dives in a place of not-knowing, in a fluctuant environment where sensorial experience collides with imagination. In this place, the inner and outside spaces of the performers converge.
